Chapter 6 The Man of the Earth and the Man of Heaven

【Matt 22:30】 「At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.」 (Mark 12:25, Luke 20:36 comp.) And the apostle Paul wrote;

【1Cor 15:50-52】 「I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed– in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.」

Considering the above verses. we get to understand that Adam is the unfinished. Only when the person is changed like an angel, he becomes the finished. Therefore the apostle Paul wrote as follows;

【1Cor 15:47-49】 「The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven.」

Adam is a man who belongs to the dust of the earth, but Jesus is the Man who belongs to the heaven. Like Jesus, all the saints who are redeemed from the earth, will be changed into the likeness of the Man who belongs to the heaven. Now, we knew that Adam had not been created to live forever. He was the unfinished as a beginning step for the creation of the finished who would live forever.

It is written that Adam, the ancestor of the human race, was said to be a pattern of the one to come.(Rom. 5:14) Adam became an opposite pattern of Jesus who was to come. In other words, through one man, Adam, death came to all men, and through one Man, Jesus, many come to live.(Rom. 5:12~21)

If there is a law of death, there is also a law of life. The law of the flesh is to kill, but the law of the spirit is to give life. The old covenant is to kill, but the new covenant is to give salvation.
